The Sunshine Coast - B.C. Canada

Hands down my favorite section of the trip.  We stayed at Rockwater Secret Cove a resort on the sunshine coast in a tent - which is definitely the way to go if you ever visit.  Heated slate floors, balcony, jetted tub - awesomeness.  Every day was spent exploring the surrounding area hiking to Skookumchuck Narrows, sea kayaking, taking a water shuttle and "landing craft" to and from Thormanby Island (we circumnavigated the entire island on foot!), and spending time at our favorite restaurant Side Dish Cafe (they had wonderful gluten free items).  Such an amazing time, we are looking forward to returning to the area!
There are so many great pictures to share that I am going to break them down in separate posts.  First, Thormanby Island:

Seattle

We only spent one night in Seattle, but we made the most of exploring the area we did stay in.  We stayed at Hotel 1000 in the downtown area.  As you can see from the pictures below it was a gorgeous hotel!  I look forward to a longer trip to this area and really enjoyed the eclectic shops.

Vacation - L.A.

James and I got back got back from our vacation a week ago.  It was a wonderful west coast vacation full of bike riding, hiking and museums.  For the pictures I will begin with the end of our trip :) - Los Angeles, California.

 

We stayed at the Oceana, in Santa Monica - they had bikes that we could borrow (we highly utilized this!).  We also explored The Getty Museum on our last day before catching the red eye back to D.C.  We would love to have more time to explore on our next trip, the museum is huge!
